What education is required? |
|

You have to at least finish Grade 12 if your goal is to fly for an Airline, secondary education is an asset. Any courses that help with personal development. Not necessary to be good in Math or physics. The basics taught in high school are sufficient. Good decision-making is probably the most important attribute to being a good Pilot. |
What are medical requirements? |
|

Good general health, must be able to pass the required physical check. Drug free and a non-user. Good hearing and vision at least 20/30, may be corrected, call us to find out where you can take medical examination in Calgary area. |
What are the age requirements? |
|

You must be 17 years old in order to hold Private Pilot License, 18 yrs to hold Commercial Pilots License, 21 yrs to hold Air Transport License. However, you may start your training as young as 14 years old. |
What will it cost? |
|

To achieve all Licenses and Ratings it will be approximately $65,000.00. Much of this can be covered by Government sponsored student loans. The cost is comparable to any complete post secondary education. The salary level of experienced Pilots ranges from $75,000 to $300,000 per annum. There is definitely hope in the future of AVIATION. |
What are the employment opportunities? |

After you finish your initial training, you will be in an apprentice stage for approximately 2 to 4 years. You set your goal or direction and aspire to one of the following: Airline Pilot, Corporate Pilot, Charter Pilot or Flight Instructor. As a Pilot gains flight experience, generally working as a Flight Instructor Pilot or Charter Pilot, his or her future choices may change. You will soon learn that “flight experience” is the “key” in an aviation career quest. Each Pilot may tailor his goal to his personal preference. One thing that we can assure you is that “ the music of life will take on a different beat” when you become Pilot-in–Command of an airplane. |
